Dr. Casey Abernathy is local to the area. He graduated from Alexandria High School in 2002 and began pursuing his veterinary career completing his undergraduate studies at Jacksonville State University. Dr. Abernathy started his veterinary career working as a kennel technician and gained veterinary experience here prior to attending veterinary school. After returning, he worked along side a seasoned veterinarian for 2 years, Dr. Tom Beam, before purchasing the practice in December 2016.

Dr. Wes Tillison provides Relief Veterinary Services on Saturday mornings at Anniston Veterinary Clinic. A native of Alexandria, Alabama, Dr. Tillison is a 1981 Graduate of Alexandria High School. Dr. Tillison attended Gadsden State Community College before transferring to Auburn University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science in 1986. Dr. Tillison graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. He worked as an Associate Veterinarian at Anniston Veterinary Hospital for 8 years before joining the United States Department of Agriculture as a Supervisory Public Health Veterinarian. Dr. Tillison’s duties with USDA include supervision of Food Inspectors and Consumer Safety Inspectors as well as ensuring safety of the Nation’s Food Supply.
Dr. Tillison is married to Hollie Hamilton Tillison, one of the Veterinary Technicians employed with Anniston Veterinary Clinic. Dr. and Mrs. Tillison reside with their two children, Bayley and Kaytie in Ohatchee, Alabama. Dr. Tillison’s Veterinary interests include Preventive Medicine and Dermatology. He also enjoys traveling to the beach with his family and raising Registered Appaloosa Horses who excel in multiple disciplines.
